Connect in 1 click

The HubSpot MCP server turns your CRM into a live, agent-callable resource instead of a walled-off dashboard. Once connected through BusinessMCP, any AI agent — Claude, GPT, Gemini, or a custom LLM pipeline — can read and write contacts, deals, companies, and marketing automation data through a single hosted MCP endpoint at /api/mcp, authenticated with your mcph_* Bearer key. Instead of building and maintaining a bespoke HubSpot integration for every agent or tool you deploy, you connect HubSpot once and expose it everywhere your organization needs CRM context, from internal copilots to customer-facing chat assistants.

This is a natural fit for teams running AI-assisted sales pipeline management, lead qualification, or account-based marketing workflows. An agent can look up a contact's deal history before a call, update a deal stage after a meeting, log an engagement, or trigger a marketing automation sequence — all through structured tool calls rather than screen-scraping a UI or juggling raw HubSpot API credentials in every script. Because BusinessMCP is model-agnostic, you're not locked into a single AI vendor: swap Claude for GPT or Gemini without re-plumbing your HubSpot access, and let each agent inherit the same governed, auditable connection.

Beyond raw CRM access, BusinessMCP layers a business-intelligence dashboard on top of every hosted MCP server, including this HubSpot integration. That means sales and marketing leaders get visibility into how AI agents are actually using pipeline and contact data — which deals are being touched, which automations are firing, and how CRM activity ties into broader tool usage across your stack — without needing a separate analytics project. Combined with other hosted connectors like Salesforce or Pipedrive for pipeline coverage, or Zendesk, Freshdesk, and Intercom for support context, the HubSpot MCP server becomes one node in a unified, queryable view of revenue operations rather than an isolated silo.

Security and compliance are built into the hosting layer, not bolted on. The HubSpot MCP server integration is cookieless and GDPR-friendly by design, which matters for teams in the EU or any organization tightening its data-handling posture as AI agents get broader access to customer records. Access is scoped through your mcph_* API key, so you can rotate credentials, monitor usage, and restrict which agents or workflows can reach production CRM data — all centrally, rather than per-integration.

Whether you're prototyping a sales assistant that drafts follow-ups from live deal data, wiring HubSpot into a customer support triage flow, or giving an internal ops agent read/write access to your pipeline, this hosted HubSpot MCP server removes the integration overhead. Connect it once through BusinessMCP, and every current and future AI agent in your stack gets consistent, governed, real-time access to contacts, deals, and marketing automation — with the usage visibility to know exactly how that access is being put to work.

Just say it in a thread

No configs, no docs. Once connected, these are the kinds of messages your agents act on.

"List every open deal by stage and owner so I can see where the pipeline is heaviest."

"Find the contact record for jane@acme.com and show me her lifecycle stage and last activity."

"Create a contact for the lead I just met at the conference: Sam Rivera, sam@northwind.io, VP of Operations."

"Move the Acme Corp deal to 'Contract Sent' and update the amount to $24,000."

"Log yesterday's demo call against the Globex deal with my meeting notes."

"Which contacts are marked as marketing-qualified but haven't had any activity in two weeks?"

"Pull the company record for Initech — industry, size, and recent activity."

"Search for contacts at healthcare companies so I can cross-check them against our open deals."

"Trigger the onboarding nurture campaign for the trial-signup list."

"Show me the deals owned by Priya with close dates this quarter, sorted by amount."

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to build a custom HubSpot integration for each AI tool I use?

No — you connect HubSpot once through BusinessMCP and every agent (Claude, GPT, Gemini, or custom) accesses it through the same hosted /api/mcp endpoint and Bearer key.

Can this HubSpot MCP server write data back into the CRM, or is it read-only?

It supports both read and write operations, such as creating and updating contacts and deals, not just retrieving data.

Is the HubSpot integration compliant for EU/GDPR use cases?

Yes, the hosted MCP server is cookieless and GDPR-friendly by design, and access is scoped and auditable via your mcph_* API key.

Why can't the agent see certain contacts or properties?

Access follows the scopes granted when you connected HubSpot plus the permissions of the authorizing user. If a scope like contacts-read was not granted, or a custom property is referenced by its display label instead of its internal name, results come back empty. Re-authorize with the needed scopes and use internal property names (Settings → Properties in HubSpot shows both).

Why did a deal update fail?

The most common cause is a stage mismatch: a deal can only move to a stage that exists in its own pipeline, and stages are matched by their internal ID, not the label you see in the UI. If your pipeline requires certain properties to be filled when entering a stage, those must be supplied too. Ask the agent to list the deal's pipeline stages first, then retry the update.

Will heavy agent usage hit HubSpot API rate limits?

HubSpot enforces per-account API limits, and agent calls count against them like any integration. Conversational lookups and updates are far below the ceiling; if you plan bulk operations across thousands of records, batch them or spread them out rather than issuing one call per record in a tight loop.
