Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Last updated: August 2026

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar US state laws, you have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. This page explains what that means at BusinessMCP and how to exercise it. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

The fastest way: Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We automatically honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing for residents of US states that recognize it. If your browser or a privacy extension sends Sec-GPC / navigator.globalPrivacyControl, we treat it as your opt-out — no form required, and it persists for that browser. Browsers and tools that support GPC include Brave, DuckDuckGo, Firefox (with the setting enabled), and the Privacy Badger / OptMeowt extensions.

What we do and don’t do with your information

  • We do not sell your personal information for money.
  • Our first-party, cookieless analytics and our company-level identification (which company an anonymous business visit came from) involve no device access and only a truncated IP— they are not a “sale” or “share” and are not gated by this signal.
  • Where a customer enables optional ad-platform integrations(server-side conversion measurement or audience matching that transfers data to networks like Meta or Google), that can be a “sale” or “share.” GPC opts you out of these transfers.
  • Optional person-level visitor identification (resolving a named individual) is US-only under notice-and-opt-out, uses a third-party identity provider, and is likewise suppressed when GPC is present. We do not resell visitor-identity data.

Submit a request manually

You can also opt out, or ask us to delete or disclose the personal information we hold, by emailing [email protected]with “Do Not Sell or Share” in the subject line. We honor verifiable requests within the timeframes required by law (generally within 15 business days for opt-outs and 45 days for access/deletion), and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. You may use an authorized agent.

End-visitor data held for our customers

If your request concerns data collected about you on a customer’s website through our tracking script, that customer is the controller of that data. We will refer your request to them and assist them in responding. See our Data Processing Agreement.
